Pitch Document I have used the first/front page to introduce the style and main storyline of the film. The second page i have used the tell the tale in detail. and the last part of the third page outlines the other features of the film. I have tried to make my pitch document look like a page in a fairytale book as i feel my animation is like a brothers Grimm story and the style is based on conjuring up fearful but fantastical imaginings. after uni i want to go on to make more films based upon wildlife phenomena and create my own story and reasons behind it with a moral or lesson to be learnt.

I have also been doing further research into the exact audience my film will appeal to, i have found that it should appeal to most ages, particularly young adults:

“The audience for animation seems to be constantly increasing in many demographics, with a growing acceptance of animation by adults, but the primary audience is still children”. Wright (2005, p.45).
Films like Pixar for example are generally films for children but they put in gags and topics that perhaps only an adult would understand.  I have also tried to make my film appeal to different age groups, for example, there are bugs and green blood for the children “Children, too, are fascinated by the dark side of life and are entertained by villains”. Wright (2005, p.72). Many fairytales like those of the Brothers Grimm are fairly dark and children respond to scary things but not too scary of course just enough to give them goose bumps but not so much as to give them nightmares.
I have also tried to appeal to the adults with the whole tragedy and love conquering all, as many adults would have experienced heart ache and can identify with love, loss, family disputes, rebelling, going it alone and starting a new family.
“Most healthy brains have matured by late adolescence. Men, especially, might still be immature. Women may be vulnerable. Both find their own values, their own sexual identities. A vocation becomes important. This age group is searching for a temporary or life mate. Intimacy becomes important”. Wright (2005, p.55). so therefore my film would appeal to young adults as they can relate to the whole rocky mother/daughter relationship, and the choosing a mate over a tradition. It is a bit of wanting a lover and also a bit of rebelling against her mother and traditions, wanting to find her own way in life.
